In 2008, the Board of Governors of the Florida Medical Association approved the creation of the FMA’s Knowledge Center, designed to be a one-stop shop for useful information and valuable resources to assist our FMA members in navigating the intricacies of practicing medicine in the state of Florida. As an FMA member, the FMA Knowledge Center can provide you with countless information and references on such issues as licensure, managed care, medico-legal issues, membership, continuing medical education and legislative activities, to name but a few.
As a benefit to FMA members, and only available to FMA members, we have created a section for Frequently Asked Questions (addressing all of the aforementioned topics and many more). In addition, we have compiled a list via our Useful Websites section of websites that you, as a physician or medical student, might find useful (both on a state and national level). Rest assured, that these informational sections are always being updated in order to provide our members with the most concise and accurate information to date.
If you are looking for specific information that you have not found on the FMA’s Knowledge Center website or if you have suggestions for how to improve upon the site, please send an email to Michelle Jacquis, Director of the Knowledge Center, at mjacquis@medone.org.
