The FMA Physician Leadership Academy is 10-month program that trains young physicians to become leaders within organized medicine, medical staffs, group practices and the public policy arena. Funded by a grant from the Physicians Foundation, the program addresses the need for a new generation of physician leaders following national health care reform — especially as their predecessors age and retire. The FMA has partnered with the University of Florida Leadership Development Institute to design and deliver the curriculum.
