Learn the Art of Physician Leadership
The FMA welcomes the 2023-2024 class of the Karl M. Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy, our premier professional development program. Exclusively for FMA members, the Leadership Academy is an intensive, 10-month program that helps emerging physician leaders develop specific non-clinical skills they need to be effective advocates for the medical profession and their patients: emotional intelligence, conflict management, strategic leadership, persuasive communication, and building a healthy workplace culture.
Generously funded by the Physicians Foundation, Professionals Resource Network, and the FMA's Foundation for Healthy Floridians, the Academy combines daylong, in-person sessions with virtual learning activities throughout the year.
