Prevention of Medical Errors (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
2 Credit Hours - This session features the mandatory content required by the Florida Boards of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine for prevention of medical errors including root cause analysis, error reduction and prevention, patient safety, and the most commonly misdiagnosed conditions identified by the two Boards.
Florida Laws, Rules & Ethics for Healthcare Professionals (1:15 PM to 2:15 PM)
1 Credit Hour - This session, required for Osteopathic physicians licensed in Florida, is intended to demystify Florida’s physician licensure and regulatory process and to highlight the top regulatory and ethical issues currently affecting Florida-licensed physicians.
Human Trafficking (2:30 PM to 3:30 PM)
1 Credit Hour - The latest mandatory topic for many healthcare professionals introduced by the Florida Legislature in 2019, this 1-time requirement will feature content related to the topic of sex and labor trafficking, including tips for physicians to identify and assess potential victims, as well as provide resources and service referrals.
Registrants will receive a confirmation email after registering and a reminder email the week of the event with links for their evaluation form and to access the live stream.
