Webinar Series: Social Inflation & Its Impact on Med Mal
The webinar on Social Inflation & Its Impact on Medical Malpractice will have Robert E. White Jr, the Chief Operating Officer of The Doctors Company, who oversees the operations of the four business units that make up TDC Group.

The “Social Inflation and Its Impact on Medical Professional Liability (MPL) Claims” webinar will feature Robert E. White, Jr., President, The Doctors Company and TDC Group. Mr. White will discuss:

  • Definition of social inflation and how it influences loss costs and premiums.
  • How social inflation added $2.4 to $3.5 billion, or 8 to 11 percent, to medical malpractice losses incurred by physician insurers from 2012 to 2021.
  • Impact of social inflation on the claims resolution process and jury verdicts.
Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions using the questions pane for the Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

Two Ways To Access Event:

  1. Event reminder emails will be sent from Florida Medical Association (customercare@gotowebinar.com), which will include a JOIN WEBINAR link, one week, one day, and one hour before the event begins.

OR

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange CME Access/Claim Credit tab. (example shown above)
  3. Click the Access Webinar link listed next to the webinar title.
  4. Slides and/or supporting documents will be provided in the handouts section of the webinar, if available.

Post-Event:

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange CME Access/Claim Credit tab. (example shown above)
  3. Access Recording: All participants will have the ability to view the recording by clicking Access Recording.
  4. Access to the recording will be available within 24 hours of the event conclusion until April 9.
  5. A Course Handouts link for slides and/or supporting documents will be listed next to the event, if available.
