While student loans may be unavoidable, there are specific tools and tactics available to ease the burden and help physicians manage their debt more successfully.

At the end of the presentation, learners will be able to:
  • Understand the current state of debt and federal policies for loans
  • Learn the basics of repayment options through the government
  • Identify opportunities for forgiveness and strategies to increase forgiveness amounts

Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions for the Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

After earning his BBA in Economics he deferred his medical school acceptance to teach middle school science in the Phoenix, AZ area while also earning his Masters in Education from Arizona State University. He then completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center before finishing his residency at University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is also the Co-Founder of Panacea Financial, the national bank that serves thousands of doctors across the country.

Two Ways To Access Event:

  1. Event reminder emails will be sent from Florida Medical Association (customercare@gotowebinar.com), which will include a JOIN WEBINAR link, one week, one day, and one hour before the event begins.

OR

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
  3. Click the Access Webinar link listed next to the webinar title.
  4. Slides and/or supporting documents will be provided in the handouts section of the webinar, if available.

Post-Event:

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
  3. FMA Members Only: Access to the recording will be available within 24 hours of the event conclusion until September 24 and then in the members-only webinar library.
  4. Course Handouts link for slides and/or supporting documents will be listed next to the event, if available.

Claiming CME Credit:

  1. Log in to your FMA account profile and click the CME Event Access/Claim Credit tab in the blue menu (example shown above)
  2. Click the event's Claim CME Credit hyperlink
  3. All CME credits will be reported on your behalf to CE Broker by September 26, after the September 24 deadline.
  4. NEW FEATURE - CME Certificates will be available to print in your FMA Profile after credits have been reported. Certificates will no longer be mailed.
