Maureen O’Hara Padden, MD, MPH, FAAFP, is regional medical director for Florida and South Carolina practices partnering with Aledade, an Accountable Care Organization. Board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine, she is also a part-time private practice physician in Pensacola and President of the Escambia County Medical Society. Dr. Padden earned her medical degree from Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Md., and completed her family medicine residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, where she served as chief resident in her final year of training. During her long career in the United States Navy Medical Corps, she achieved the rank of Captain and won several awards, including the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Award, and the Navy Commendation Medal, before retiring from service in 2017. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) since 2002, Dr. Padden serves on the AAFP’s Commission on Federal and State Policy.
