FMA member Lee Gross, MD, is a family medicine physician who has been in private practice in Southwest Florida since 2002. As a pioneer in Direct Primary Care, Dr. Gross frequently speaks at national meetings, conducts media interviews, and writes articles about market-based healthcare innovations. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine and completed his family medicine training as the elected chief resident at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Additionally, Dr. Gross is a healthcare consultant to physician practices, medical organizations, insurance groups, hospitals and private businesses. He is the founder and Chairman of DPC Action, a non-profit national Direct Primary Care advocacy and social welfare organization. He is consulted by lawmakers and policy leaders on local, state and national health policy initiatives, including formal testimony before the U.S. Senate and consultation with several federal agencies, and the White House.
