For PAs and APRNs registered to prescribe in Florida, this 3-hour live and live-streamed event in Tampa will feature new and updated prescribing laws and rules. This course will highlight the current standards for prescribing controlled substances, particularly opiates, discuss alternatives to opiates including nonpharmacological options, and address the risks of opioid addiction following all stages of treatment in the management of acute pain.

For physicians registered with the DEA to prescribe controlled substances in Florida, this course will provide the mandatory two credits for the controlled substance prescribing requirement and one general credit.

Live Stream registrants will receive an email the week of the event with links for their evaluation form and to access the live stream.
