Florida’s Major Payors Explain the Policy Changes Affecting You
Payors across Florida have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by enacting a number of policy changes that affect the practice of medicine.
Examples include co-payment waivers, prior authorization waivers, and telehealth flexibilities. However, with each payor responding differently, these changes can be challenging to track and understand.
In addition, payors have continued modifying and updating their COVID-related policies and are expected to issue additional changes in the coming weeks and months. Busy physicians and practice managers need a convenient way to stay informed.
This is why the FMA is bringing Florida’s largest public and private payors together virtually for our 2020 Insurance Summit on Nov. 13 to discuss COVID-19’s impact on the health insurance industry and the practice of medicine. Summit participants include the Agency for Health Care Administration, Sunshine Health, Cigna, First Coast Service Options, Florida Blue, and UnitedHealthcare. During this event, payor representatives will explain how their organizations are responding to the pandemic in ways that affect physicians, and they will answer questions from our livestream attendees at the end of each presentation. Register now for this rare opportunity to get the information you need from insurance experts in a live, one-stop format.
