2023 FMA Annual Meeting
The event is a full weekend of Continuing Medical Education (CME), networking, and family activities. It offers 13 CME credits over three days through in-person and livestream attendance. The event also features a Good Government Lunch, House of Delegates, installation of the FMA's 147th President, and a celebration event supporting the Karl Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy and the FMA poster symposium. There is also the David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium for medical students, residents, and fellows to present their work. The event provides an opportunity to spend time with colleagues and family while having fun in the sun.

Join us for a full weekend of CME, networking, and family fun.

  • Three days of CME available in person and via livestream, including state-mandated courses, for a total of 13 CME credits. Registrants must be registered for each track prior to the end of each session (In Person or Livestream) to receive access to the CME recordings through August 13. 
  • The FMA PAC Good Government Lunch Keynote  William Flanary, MD, known to his large social media following as medical satirist “Dr. Glaucomflecken,” will speak at the FMA PAC Good Government Lunch on Saturday, July 29, during the 2023 FMA Annual Meeting. Dr. Flanary, a Portland-based ophthalmologist, turned to comedy as a creative outlet and to cope with his personal health challenges as a two-time testicular cancer survivor. Special guests from the legislative arena will deliver remarks as well. Tickets are $150 until June 30 and $175 beginning July 1. The cost is $75 for medical students and residents. 
  • House of Delegates and installation of the FMA’s 147th President, Jason Goldman, MD.
  • Installation Celebration event supports the Karl Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy, the FMA poster symposium and recognition of Jason Goldman, MD, the 147th FMA President. Tickets are $175 before July 1 and $200 beginning July 1.
  • David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium, where medical students, residents, and fellows share their research and clinical work
  • Enjoy a weekend with your colleagues and family, get a little sun and have a little fun!

CME Credit

The FMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The FMA designates this live activity for a maximum of thirteen (13.0) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

How Does The Event Process Work?

Access Event/Webinar Links in your FMA Account Profile on the CME Access/Claim Credit tab (screenshot below):


Event Access:

  1. Event reminder emails, which will include a JOIN WEBINAR link, will be sent one week, one day, and one hour before the event begins.
  2. Use event access link in your Access/Claim Credit tab or the JOIN WEBINAR button in the confirmation/reminder emails to access the webinar.
  3. Slides and/or supporting documents will be in the handouts section of the webinar, if available.

Post-Event:

  1. Follow-up email from the FMA containing a link to the recorded session will be sent within 24 hours of the event conclusion.

Claiming CME Credit:

  1. Log in to your FMA account profile and click the CME Access/Claim Credit tab in the blue menu (example shown above).
  2. Click the event's Claim CME Credit hyperlink.
  3. All CME credits will be reported on your behalf to CE Broker by August 14, after the August 13 deadline.
  4. CME Certificates will be mailed by August 18.
