2023 FMA Annual Meeting
The event is a full weekend of Continuing Medical Education (CME), networking, and family activities. It offers 13 CME credits over three days through in-person and livestream attendance. The event also features a Good Government Lunch, House of Delegates, installation of the FMA's 147th President, and a celebration event supporting the Karl Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy and the FMA poster symposium. There is also the David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium for medical students, residents, and fellows to present their work. The event provides an opportunity to spend time with colleagues and family while having fun in the sun.

As a result of overwhelming demand, the FMA has extended the registration deadline to August 20 for accessing the recordings of the three CME tracks provided during this year's Annual Meeting.

  • Lunch Presentation on Friday, July 28 – Proper Use of Legal Entities for Lawsuit Protection and Tax Reduction - Tickets are $15
  • The FMA PAC Good Government Lunch Keynote  William Flanary, MD, known to his large social media following as medical satirist “Dr. Glaucomflecken,” will speak at the FMA PAC Good Government Lunch on Saturday, July 29, during the 2023 FMA Annual Meeting.


    Dr. Flanary, a Portland-based ophthalmologist, turned to comedy as a creative outlet and to cope with his personal health challenges as a two-time testicular cancer survivor. Special guests from the legislative arena will deliver remarks as well. Tickets are $150 until June 30 and $175 beginning July 1. The cost is $75 for medical students and residents. 
  • House of Delegates and installation of the FMA’s 147th President, Jason Goldman, MD.
  • "South Beach Chic" Celebration Dinner that supports the Karl Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy, the FMA poster symposium and recognition of Jason Goldman, MD, the 147th FMA President. Tickets are $175 before July 1 and $200 beginning July 1. Upscale club attire.
  • David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium, where medical students, residents, and fellows share their research and clinical work
  • Enjoy a weekend with your colleagues and family, get a little sun and have a little fun!

  • CME Credit

    The FMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    The FMA designates this live activity for a maximum of thirteen (13.0) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    How To Access Recording and Claim CME

    Access Recording:

    1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
    2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
    3. Click the Access Recording link listed next to the webinar title.
    4. Slides and/or supporting documents will be provided in the handouts section of the webinar, if available. 

    Claiming CME Credit:

    1. Log in to your FMA account profile and click the Event Access/Claim CME tab in the blue menu (example shown above)
    2. Click the event's Claim CME Credit hyperlink
    3. All CME credits will be reported on your behalf to CE Broker by August 21, after the August 20 deadline.
    4. NEW FEATURE - CME Certificates will be available to print in your FMA Profile after credits have been reported. Certificates will no longer be mailed.
    Directions For Initial Registration
    1. Sign In (you may already be signed in if you clicked a link from an FMA email)
    2. Click the green Register Myself button below
    3. Click the blue Add button next to the CME or event item(s) to include in your registration 
    4. Click the green Proceed to Checkout button(bottom of page) and finalize your purchase on the next page by clicking the green Submit Order button
    5. You will receive an order confirmation email after successfully completing check out.
