2024 FMA Annual Meeting
The event is a full weekend of Continuing Medical Education (CME), networking, and family activities. It offers 13 CME credits over three days through in-person and livestream attendance. The event also features a Good Government Lunch, House of Delegates, installation of the FMA's 148th President, and a celebration event supporting the Karl Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy and the FMA poster symposium. There is also the David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium for medical students, residents, and fellows to present their work. The event provides an opportunity to spend time with colleagues and family while having fun in the sun.

Join us for a full weekend of learning, meaningful networking, and family-oriented enjoyment.

  • Gain access to three CME tracks offering up to 13 credits, available in person and via livestream, including state-mandated courses. Attendees must be registered for each CME track prior to the end of each session (in person or livestream) to receive access to the course recordings through Wednesday, Aug. 28.
  • Educate and treat yourself during the lunch presentation on Friday, Aug. 2, "Proper Use of Legal Entities for Lawsuit Protection and Tax Reduction." Tickets are $10.
  • Join us on Friday, Aug. 2, for a celebration a century-and-a-half in the making! The FMA is thrilled to mark our 150th anniversary during our welcome reception with a milestone celebration that will be an opportunity to reflect on our rich history, honor our achievements, and look forward to a future filled with endless possibilities. 
  • Attend the FMA PAC Good Government Luncheon, a popular event that, in 2023, featured Portland-based medical satirist William Flanary, MD, also known as "Dr. Glaucomflecken," alongside legislative guests. Keep an eye out for announcements of this year's speaker. Secure your tickets for $150 by Sunday, July 7, and $175 beginning Monday, July 8.
  • Participate in shaping FMA policies during the House of Delegates, explore innovative services and products for physicians in our vendor exhibitor hall, and attend exclusive VIP events, including the FMA PAC's Bourbon and Bubbles reception.
  • Join the festivities at an installation celebration honoring 148th FMA President Lisa Cosgrove, MD. This event will support the Karl M. Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy and the David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium. Reserve your tickets for $175 by Sunday, July 7, and $200 beginning Monday, July 8.
  • Connect with medical students, residents, and fellows at the David A. Paulus, MD Virtual Poster Symposium, and enjoy stimulating discussions about their research and clinical endeavors.

The Florida Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Florida Medical Association designates this enduring material for a maximum of thirteen (13.0) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

How Does the Event Process Work?

Two Ways to Access Event:

  1. Event reminder emails will be sent from the Florida Medical Association (customercare@gotowebinar.com), and will include a JOIN WEBINAR link one week, one day, and one hour before the event begins.

OR

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
  3. Click the Access Webinar link listed next to the webinar title.
  4. Slides and/or supporting documents will be provided in the handouts section of the webinar, if available.

Post-Event:

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
  3. Access to the recording will be available within 24 hours of the event conclusion until Monday, Aug. 26.
  4. Course Handouts link for slides and/or supporting documents will be listed next to the event, if available.

Claiming CME Credit:

  1. Log in to your FMA account profile and click the Event Access/Claim CME tab in the blue menu. (example shown above)
  2. Click the event's Claim CME Credit hyperlink.
  3. All CME credits will be reported on your behalf to CE Broker by Friday, Aug. 30, after the Aug. 26 deadline.
  4. NEW FEATURE - CME Certificates will be available to print in your FMA Profile after credits have been reported. Certificates will no longer be mailed.
Directions For Initial Registration
  1. Sign In (you may already be signed in if you clicked a link from an FMA email).
  2. Click the green Register Myself button below.
  3. Click the blue Add button next to the CME or event item(s) to include in your registration. 
  4. Click the green Proceed to Checkout button (bottom of page) and finalize your purchase on the next page by clicking the green Submit Order button.
  5. You will receive an order confirmation email after successfully completing check-out.

Already Registered and Need to Update Your Itinerary?

Add Events - Click the Add button next to the event you wish to attend.
Add Tickets - Set the quantity and click the add button next to the ticketed event you wish to attend.
Adjust Ticket Quantity - Click on the title of the ticketed event you have already purchased tickets for. Update the quantity to the total number of tickets you want to have. Click update and pay for the difference.
