Summer McKeivier is a seasoned federal trial healthcare fraud defense attorney based in Chapman Law Group’s Los Angeles office. She specializes in federal criminal defense, healthcare fraud and abuse, governmental investigations, and DEA matters, particularly those involving overprescribing allegations. Licensed to practice in California, Michigan, Texas, and New York, Summer has represented clients in nearly every U.S. District Court. She is known for her meticulous preparation and remarkable litigation skills, securing numerous acquittals and favorable outcomes, such as persuading the government not to prosecute a client falsely accused of healthcare fraud.

Juan C. Santos is a Senior Florida Healthcare Compliance Attorney at Chapman Law Group’s Miami office, where he specializes in advising healthcare providers nationwide on compliance, regulatory, and transactional matters. His expertise includes Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law analysis, HIPAA, EMTALA, physician practice formation, and DEA compliance. Juan also has significant experience in telemedicine compliance and urgent care services, making him a valuable resource for healthcare professionals navigating complex legal landscapes. CME Credit

The FMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The FMA designates this live activity for a maximum of one (1.0) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  1. Event reminder emails will be sent from Florida Medical Association (customercare@gotowebinar.com), which will include a JOIN WEBINAR link, one week, one day, and one hour before the event begins.

OR

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
  3. Click the Access Webinar link listed next to the webinar title.
  4. Slides and/or supporting documents will be provided in the handouts section of the webinar, if available.

Post-Event:

  1. Go to www.flmedical.org. At the top of the page, click on Profile. Sign in with your username (email) and password.
  2. Under the Profile Menu header, locate the blue section containing profile options. Click the orange Event Access/Claim CME tab. (example shown above)
  3. FMA Members Only: Access to the recording will be available within 24 hours of the event conclusion until October 13 and then in the members-only webinar library.
  4. Course Handouts link for slides and/or supporting documents will be listed next to the event, if available.

Claiming CME Credit:

  1. Log in to your FMA account profile and click the CME Event Access/Claim Credit tab in the blue menu (example shown above)
  2. Click the event's Claim CME Credit hyperlink
  3. All CME credits will be reported on your behalf to CE Broker by October 15, after the October 13 deadline.
  4. NEW FEATURE - CME Certificates will be available to print in your FMA Profile after credits have been reported. Certificates will no longer be mailed.
