The Schachner Continued Investment in Tomorrow's Residents Universal Scholarship (CITRUS)

Offered by The Florida Medical Association and the Foundation for Healthy Floridians

This scholarship supports medical students interested in continuing their medical education in Florida, a state unrivaled in its cultural nuance and compassion.

This scholarship honors the hard work and dedication of Benjamin Schachner, MD (UM class of 2023), former chair of the FMA Medical Student Section and FMA Medical Student Section Board of Governors representative. Dr. Schachner spent the better part of his medical student career advocating for medical students, organized medicine, and the future of medicine in Florida.

This scholarship will help continue the legacy of the FMA and the Medical Student Section of building long and trusting relationships between medical students by supporting their financial well-being and providing the resources needed to excel as physicians.

The Schachner CITRUS Scholarship grants one student from each accredited medical school a $1,000 scholarship.
