AdventHealth physician brings expert talent to the global stage

AdventHealth doctors are helping change the world. Dr. Jay Redan has been traveling to Bulgaria for the last five years to teach laparoscopic robotic surgery to students at the Medical University in Plevin. He’s working to help train the next generation of superstar surgeons and bring cutting-edge medical care to more people.

 

This year, the university celebrated its 50th anniversary, and Dr. Redan was awarded the prestigious “Doctor Honoris Causa” medal and was thanked by two former Bulgarian presidents for his work bringing cutting-edge technology to their nation. He even brought a little piece of Disney magic with him, gifting the university rector with Disney Christmas ornaments.
