Medicine’s allies excel in state primary election

By Sarah Hickman, FMA Vice President of Political Affairs

Florida’s primary election on Tuesday was a success for medicine, with 89.7% of FMA PAC-endorsed candidates winning their races. Your FMA PAC was involved in 29 races total, and 26 resulted in victories for our endorsed Friends of Medicine. See the complete results here.

From the Panhandle to Ocala, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, and South Florida, your FMA PAC Board members worked closely with legislative campaigns all summer, whether walking door-to-door for candidates, or hosting fundraisers and having coffee to deliver funds. These efforts help all physicians across the state as we educate new legislators on critical healthcare issues.

Now, our focus shifts to the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Getting involved in the FMA PAC is the cure for your frustrations about the regulatory burdens and hassles you face in daily practice.  By joining the FMA PAC today, you can help our allies cross the finish line in November.
